Also congratulations to David Kneece! His 1st place individual weight of 28.37 lbs. clinched the final boater spot on the SC State Team. He also won the Cabelas Angler Cash award of $200.  Nelson Walker also advances to the SC State Team as the final non-boater with his 3rd place weight of 16.75 lbs. John Sturkie finished in 2nd at 17.59 lbs. but has already qualified for the team.

The 2012 TBF of South Carolina State Team

The 2012 TBF of South Carolina State Team competed at the Southern Divisional Championship on Lake Okeechobee  June 3-9.  As one of the many benefits of TBF, this is a no entry fee tournament with all expenses paid (including gas & travel). Besides the prestige and camaraderie of working as a team for cash awards, the top 2 anglers from each state will go on to compete at the TBF National Championship. There they will have a chance at the $100,000 "Living The Dream" prize package. Representing South Carolina at the 2013 Nationals will be:

Robert Rikard is the 2011 Angler of the Year. Shane Cantley is the 2011 Co-Angler of the Year. These guys had a great season and well deserve the titles. They both earn a spot on the 12 man Southern Divions team along with 5 other boaters from the State Trail, 4 co-anglers from the trail, and a boater and co-angler from the six-man team tournament on November 19-20. The Southern Division team will travel to Okeechobee next June and compete.
